California Humanities awards a Humanities for All Quick Grant for the 2022 Mojave Project Webinar Series

The Mojave Project, through our non-profit fiscal sponsor Fulcrum Arts, has been awarded a California Humanities’ Humanities for All Quick Grant for our upcoming 2022 Mojave Project Webinar Series hosted by the Majorie Barrick Museum of Art and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. This virtual public panel discussion series coincides with the public exhibition of The Mojave Project at the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art from February 18 – July 22, 2022. These free-to-the-public monthly Zoom webinars will bring together Indigenous culture bearers, scholars, researchers, and activists from the Mojave Desert bioregion spanning California, Nevada, Arizona and Utah.

The highlight of our programming is the Indigenous Perspectives of the Mojave Desert panel discussion includes Native American representatives whose current and traditional homelands are located within the Mojave Desert. The webinar series line-up and program dates will be announced in mid-February 2022.
